Vitrina Salon & Spa

Last semester I took a lighting class and my final was to design and name a salon located in Beverly Hills CA. We got to use the actual floor plans for a salon that was being designed by my instructor. I decided to show you all my project. Let me know what you think.

Vitrina Salon & Spa has a warm color palate that instantly leads you into a chill state of mind. The lighting fixtures I chose are a blend of organic wood and metals that are both interesting to look at and give enough light for any given situation.

My inspiration for Vitrina Salon are the beach's and resorts of Ipanema, Brazil. There are subtle sensual hints of tasteful nudity within the space.

When you walk in look for the big hand, that is where the receptionist will be waiting to make an appointment for you. After doing so sit in a lovely floating rattan chair while the Vitrina prepares for your treatments.

All of the walls are covered in tranquilly chill artwork by REX RAY and a few vintage magazine travel ad's.

All fabric selections, pillows and candles used in the salon are are from Trina Turk.

The salons name "Vitrina" means return in Portuguese.

Here are some photos of me working on my designs and floor plan layout for Vatrina Salon & Spa.
