Mercantile Market May 7th

 Some of you may, or may not know that I have taken up a hobby of selling at Flea Markets! I have done two so far this year at the Mercantile Market in Downtown Fullerton, they're super fun and rewarding. I put lots of thought into what I'm doing because this is after all an expression of myself. There is a ton of behind the scenes work that goes into planning for these shows, I have to go hunting for pieces I know my customers will love and I try my best to listen to what you want and find it!

I also have an online store where I sell mostly apparel for baby, kids & adult so please check it out!

Here is my booth at the Mercantile Market this past May! This time around I brought my vintage clothing collection as well as second hand kids wear! Such a hit, if you love unique bright and fun clothing I have it! 

We sell succulents in vintage mugs and the're going for amazing prices! They make great gifts! Also so many people wanted to buy my display, its not for sale, but if you like it I found it at Ikea!

The best feeling I get from doing these Flea Markets is seeing my customers happy when they find a new treasure! This little girl Natalie stole my heart, she was so excited after her mom got her this elephant romper and jacket! She came back a few moments later and had changed into it to show me her new look!

Weekend at Leighs

Gotta love it!

   I absolutely love spending time with my sister and her girlfriend. Their apartment is one of my weekend destinations for sure. On one of my recent weekend visits we went to lunch at Paninoteca Maggio in Santa Ana. Great place for a quick bite. Its quite small err intimate might I add. But definitely full of charm as you can see in the pic above :) Of course this was just the beginning of our weekend adventure that Saturday afternoon. So off we were to the Mexican market to load up on spirits and prep for a very, umm strange movie night. Have you ever seen Troll, Labrynth, Strange Sex or Human Centipede II? 

Lets just leave it at that...

When I saw the sun setting the other night I raced to the highest hill to capture this photo. There was a small group of us (photographers, admirers, believers) just taking it all in. I have never thought of the sunset as taking part of my life along with it. Maybe I'm just sensitive because its that time of the month...or its summer and I feel so nostalgic but this quote is getting me all emotional. 

So today Im going to do good things so when the sunsets tonight I know I did my part. Excuse me while I go have an ugly cry :(

Long Beach In the Summertime

     One summer day my sister and I were getting along quite nicely which happens once in a month, So I decided it would be best to take advantage of the situation and  dragged her with me for some quality "sister time" in Long Beach. Did we have a blast? Read on to find out. 

     My sister is not one for an itinerary, she likes to live in the moment and leave when she pleases. I tried to accommodate her special needs for our outing by limiting myself to only a select few venues, otherwise she might have left me there! 1st on our list was the uber cool hipsterama book store OPEN BOOKS! Wanna know something funny? OPEN BOOKS was CLOSED when we got there! Ok not that funny, but to me it was kinda ironic as you can see in the pic above. But luckily they were open when we walked back and we loved it there!

 So now that I have your attention lets venture into our little adventure with a walking tour of our day.

Yesterday I had a short work day so I decided to take advantage of the 80 degree weather in Orange County. I headed on over to Down Town Fullerton to spend some me,myself and I time to de-stress from the holidays. I didnt have my camera so I used my phone to take some photos of the lovely evening I had. 

Some dont understand the simple act of making time for yourself. If you can, go for it. It's not strange to go for a walk alone on a beautiful night.

Last night I went on my yearly Christmas light drive and it was Spectacular! The amount of lights is unbelievable and the cards and people too (haha). You can either drive or walk through this huge Christmas light filled neighborhood in Brea, CA off of Starflower and Birch street.

Its less of a job and more of a unique learning experience for me since owner Delilah Snell let me under her wing last February. Lots of people ask me "What is Road Less Traveled exactly?".
