    Feeling so close to something you want is such a tease. I feel like a kid again when I could see the upper grade playground across the field that was not to be touched but watched until you were old enough. I'm old enough, I'm ready I'm here and I'm letting you know that I want to start tomorrows goals today. All that I have done before this moment is what lead me to be where Iam today, who Iam today. So tomorrow could change the fate of the rest of my life. In a good way I would presume. I want the call. 

You Need To Visualize

   They say you need to visualize what it is that you want in life. Well, here it is. I want to work for Anthropologie. I have for a while, and for the past few years been working on building my portfolio and style as a visual merchandiser and display artist for small business. I feel that it is time for me to become a part of something big, something that is part of the big picture. Become a member of a tight knit creative world where perfectionism is a godsend, and quirkiness is encouraged. So when I applied last week, I knew in my heart that this was where I wanted to be and that the hard work I have done will pay off. But you can still wish me luck on landing an interview for their open position :) 

   The second part of of getting where you want to be in life is immersing yourself in it. So this past week I went to 4 different Anthropologie stores. I went to look at and indulge in their displays, merchandise, vibe, and overall vibes. What I loved most is that though each store had a similar theme, you could see the uniqueness of each crafted display. I visited the stores in South Coast Plaza, Fashion Island, Pasadena and The Grove.

     The third part of this process is to ask questions. So upon arriving to one of the locations I asked about a question I had in regards to applying online. And the following day I received an email from a manager. I instantly felt that this was working in my favor. I'm a believer in the secret. And the law of attraction. So I'm going to keep doing the three parts of this process, and I encourage you to do so too! 

The following photos were taken at Anthropologie South Coast Plaza. I couldn't resist taking photos of the work that the visuals team had put together. What an amazing job. I want it all. Including the job! 

Front and side entrances featured an abstract reptile design.  Those blue hues are breathtaking.

The front entrance of the store is so effortlessly cool. Layers of textiles and home accessories.

Intimates in bright hues of salmon and neon pink caught my eye. 

Double sided  painted bag for those days when you want a bold or basic look.

Luxurious bedding, pillows and hand towels. Hard to pick just one fav. 

Gorgeous clothing featuring sequins, exotic prints and cobalt, magenta and yellow.  

An enticing view upon entering, we have spring embroidered, dyed, scents, and a floral backdrop. Everything you need to bring you right into a spring Sunday afternoon.

But I'm having a moment. I need to just say that I'm obsessed with early/mid 90s fashion and I'm dying to get my hands on all the thrift store finds before you do!

Homemaker Wannabe

My homemade chocolate cake and cheers from my messy haired self!

    Over this past holiday season I have seen myself becoming more and more of a homemaker wannabe...I've been craving cooking, and I honestly don't cook. I sewed buttons onto a dress at work today...news to you. And I baked a cake for my Dad's birthday on Christmas day, call the police because someone has abducted the old me. What could be this sudden inspiration? Why have I begun to want to slave over a kitchen stove and have a immaculate house? 

Must be love. 

I just about died of laughter reading this vintage ad. 

    I have a list of dishes I want to attempt to make...I jokingly told my mom that I'm going to be a pastry chef  after baking that cake. Someone please feed my ego and tell me I can do anything I want to do, or be anyone I want be. Because right now I want to be a great cook. I know that the only way to a mans heart is through his stomach...best get started.

Celeb Thinspiration: Its time

     The temperature has dropped here in So-Cal and so has my drive to workout. I usually do so outdoors in the neighborhood and nearby park. But lately with the cold I just want to hibernate and be cozy by drinking high calorie coffees and comfort foods...but this is not going to get me into shape. So I thought what would inspire me to get up and start moving? 

    Looking at celebs in their cute workout gear looking fab after their workouts has inspired me to pull out those yoga pants and stop play American Horror Story on Netflix and put the Latin Dance workout instead. God, sometimes I wish I was a gym member or in kickboxing again, that's when I was in the best shape ever. But we can't always get what we want, at least not right that second. So I shall start logging, jogging and we'll see where I stand in one month. CHECK YA LATER!

Socal Style @ Roadkill Ranch

Obviously this lady is very minimalist boho chic. 

   One aspect of my job that I really like is that change is good, and fashion is an ever evolving world. Every few days at Roadkill Ranch we get to change out the "Babes" aka mannequins into fun funky new outfits. Sometimes we give a story behind our muse to help dress her as if she is an actual person shopping in the store. I know that sounds strange, but it really helps to zone in and focus.

I got a ton of compliments on this outfit. I was inspired by rich thanksgiving colors. 

I took inspiration from this Tokyo Milk perfume "dead sexy" and went from there. 

While styling these ladies I looked at the color and pattern for jewelry and perfume inspiration. Both are exotic in their own way.
