A Little Birthday Fun

-YOU ARE ENTIRELY UP TO YOU-

Another year tacked off my life as my birthday was a few months ago. I will say this has been a great year filled with lots of newness and an abundance of hard earned goodies. But I'm ready for more adventure and happiness from life experiences! I realized that the physical comforts do fulfill a purpose, but there is something greater in life than saying I have a full time Job and a new car, etc. I think this year I want to go back to the basics. I don't want to become a slave to my job because I have a car payment and bills to pay. I want to travel! I've been slowly urging to go somewhere far away off the grid and play tourist! This may sound weird to those of you who know me...but people change. So all in all, I guess the best gift I had this birthday was to spend it with people I love and to have a great introspect on what's becoming more important to me as time passes and I spend more of it locked away in a boutique vs outside and experiencing it!

-A few of the places we went to on my Birthday-
Succulents by the sea.

The Anaheim Farmers Market (vendor succulents by the sea).

Afternoon Delights at Les Amis Lebanese Food.

Feeling inspired to decorate inside Les Amis.

Love mermaids, it was a sign.

Dramatic painting action.

Posing with my mom & pup outside Les Amis.

I just met you...and this is crazy...

The title of this blog post pretty much sums up the weekend I experienced back in June. Imagine getting a text message from a cousin who lives on the opposite side of the country you have met only once before when you were both 4 yrs old? And now lets say the text also says I'm in town, and I want to meet you! Yes this is what happened to me! And I'm so grateful that it did. Its not everyday that your world is aligned for these types of events to fall right into place.

I met my cousin and her friend in San Diego and we had an awesome time dancing, and hanging out getting to know one another! I even spent the night and got to sight see the next day. I feel kinda lame saying this but I have never really hung out in downtown San Diego and I live in OC. Can I just say that that town is capital CRAZY at night!

Below are some more pics from the day!

Thanks to my cousin and her friend for being such great hosts and letting me have fun with you that weekend! Was great to see you both! Lets not let another 20 years go by!

Vanilla Chai memories

Whenever I see this bottle of Bolthouse farms Vanilla Chai I'm instantly brought back to my summer 2007 vacation in Florida. I haven't been back since 08 because I never can go when the family is going.
Now every August I feel like something is missing and I know its the annual summer trip to grandmas. Mhmmh...oh well there's always next year.
Today I twisted open a bottle of this chai and poured it over a cup of ice and instantly feel as if I'm back there, on the boat trip we all took that summer.
There's half of the clan checking out the celebrity homes.
The family my aunt works for rented out this boat for a lazy afternoon tour of Hutchinson Island, so relaxing and that my friends is where I had my first sip of that vanilla chai as well as some interesting whole foods to-go platters. I'm sure I will always remember this trip, till the next one.

Is there an item or beverage that brings back a summer memory to you?
If so do share...
