Bossa Nova

For anyone who ever thought that Bossa Nova was just a way of passing the time in an elevator,
you're not only ignorant, you're missing out on a wonderful genre of music. Bossa Nova is a Brazilian style of music that was introduced in the late 1950's by Antonia Carlos Jobim, Vincius De Moares and Jao Gilberto.

The first Bossa Nova song "Bim Bom" and made popular by Gilberto's wife Astrud, who also sang the most popular and well known Bossa Nova song "The Girl From Ipanema". Now we have a set of new artists that pay homage to the 1950's style of music. Bebel Gilberto, Koop and Nouvelle Vague just to name a few.
FYI this weekend I will be going with one of my friend's to see SERGIO MENDES @ The Hollywood Bowl! Cant wait.
